Programme Highlights:
The Marine Biodiversity Educational Programme is a collaborative initiative by ETS & Nepture Group Pte Ltd to promote the public awareness of marine environmental issues. We see an important need to educate the children who are the owners of our future. This programme will be able to increase their knowledge of the natural environment that we are living, create a better understanding of the environmental issues facing us and inspire a new mindset to problem solving (thinking with sustainability in mind).

Terms and Condition
  • Limited to a maximum of 18 in a group and minimum of 10 in a group
  • Dates with low tide of 0 - 0.1m to be able to conduct the intertidal walk
What is included?
  • Transportation by Coach from Designated Pick Up Point to Keppel Bay
  • Educational Games & Workshops onboard the Cruise Ship
  • Intertidal Walk at the Southern Islands
  • Charter Cruise for the Day Tour
  • Tea Break provided
  • Group insurance
  • Services of a Tour Guide / Speakers
Highlights
This programme promotes the outdoor learning environment and hence better enhances whatever has been learnt at the classroom back in school. Through hands-on experience like the inter-tidal walk, students can see and feel the variety of marine species. Students are also engaged through interactive games that will spur them to have deeper understanding of the underlying environmental issues and implications.

Contrary to the belief that our reefs have been permanently devastated, they still support rich marine life. The reefs in Singapore harbour more than 200 species of hard corals from 55 genera, which given the size of the reefs and conditions present here, compare favourably with coral species richness in the more extensive reefs of the region. Singapore reefs sustain good diversity of other marine organisms too. Hence, there are many learning opportunities out there for students.
