Please support our volunteers who started Be A Guardian Programme!
Be a guardian is one of the largest and long-term projects between Eco Travel Services & Eco Vietnam Group. This project initiated by our student volunteers Xiao You & Min Hui from Hwa Chong Institution Singapore, is conducted with the purpose to help Vietnamese children, achieving good results in studying but facing financial difficulties through actively seeking for financial aid from individuals as well as organizations for educational purpose. At present, Be a guardian project aims at supporting 9th grade students who graduate from Gia Bac Secondary School - Gia Bac Commune, Di Linh District, Lam Dong Province. And in long-term, the objectives of project will be indigent but strong academic students in all parts of Vietnam.

Past Volunteers of Eco Travel Services has stepped forward to create Agents of Change!
Have you ever returned from an overseas community service trip, feeling like you want to do more? Are you interested in making a more sustainable and impactful difference to a rural community? If yes, come join Agents for Change and be a ChangeMaker today!
Agents for Change (AFC) is now looking for passionate Singaporean youths to embark on a programme that will culminate in the implementation of a project based on your idea. Over the two years, constant mentorship and training by experienced professionals will be provided. One key highlight is a 1-week learning journey to Dhaka, Bangladesh – home to some of the world’s largest social enterprises and NGOs, in December 2011.
This pilot run of AFC aims to bring together 10 Singaporean youths with 10 youths from other Asian countries. Each pair will use a seed funding of S$1,500 to develop and implement one project in the Asian youth's home country. Our dream is to create 10 sustainable projects at the very end of two years in the different communities, and to develop youth leaders who aspire to make a difference. The massive scale of this programme requires help and support from different organisations. Therefore, on board with AFC now are several overseas NGOs (in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Laos and Vietnam – to name a few), and a key local partner being Avelife, a socio-environment non-profit organisation with a strong focus on environmental education and a keen emphasis on sustainability.
Application is now open, and it will close on 15th November 2011. To find out more information, please visit our Facebook page and check out this publicity video!
